Token-Gated Content Access
On hub.fun, each community launched comes with its own native token, which acts as a key to unlock the full suite of interactive features within that community. Once a community is live, its content ecosystem becomes token-gated by default, ensuring that only true participants—those who hold the community token—can fully engage with the experience.
Without holding the community token, users are granted only limited access:
They can view post titles and full content
They are restricted to seeing only the first 5 comments on any post
They cannot like, reply, or post comments
They cannot participate in voting, events, or token-rewarded activities
To unlock full access, users must hold a minimum amount of the respective community token. Upon verification, they gain the ability to:
View all comments and discussions
Interact with content (like, share, tip)
Participate in token-restricted chats, live streams, and Q&A sessions
Enable community incentives and publish your own content
This design enforces an on-chain access hierarchy, aligning content consumption and interaction rights with on-chain token ownership. It also incentivizes casual viewers to convert into stakeholders, creating a sustainable, self-reinforcing loop between engagement, token demand, and community value.
By limiting access to key utilities and rewards, hub.fun ensures that community tokens are not just speculative assets—but access passes to social capital, content influence, and governance participation.
